The Sea Study Centre, established in 2019 as a Strategic Centre of UniGe, has a specific mission, namely:

• to enhance the different competences related to the sea in UniGe
• to enhance internal synergies promoting interdisciplinarity 
• to encourage an external projection of competences, the interaction with Companies, Public Entities and Associations
• to promote the role of Genoa and Liguria as references for the exploitation of sea values on a national and international scale
